Across campus, students are constantly being surveyed and re-surveyed, often around the same issue. Students rarely, if ever, get to see the data that is collected about them. There needs to be a centralized data hub that would allow for increased transparency and collaboration around Davidson's own data. A central database that has every survey done across campus with any publicly accessible data attached or the point person to contact to gain access. This has the potential to reduce duplicative surveying, increase collaboration, and put students as the stewards of their own data. This allows students to analyze their own data in statistics and data science courses - allowing learning and potential change making in the same space.
