Groups of up to 4 faculty can propose to take a cohort of 30 students to a location within the United States for a semester. The overarching goal is to study a site from multiple disciplinary perspectives, with a focus on understanding how justice, equality, and community function there. Students will develop knowledge about the site that they can both turn inwards and outwards, articulating individual understandings of how they understand justice and equality within themselves, the site studied, the United States, and the world.
Proposals must indicate:
1. A rationale for the location that connects the value of studying within the U.S. with the Justice, Equality, and Community.
2. A summary of courses that will fulfill at least 4 Ways of Knowing Requirements, in addition to the JEC requirement.
3. A comprehensive budget.
